Be weary of using the Target Red Card as you don't earn 5% reward on Target Gift Cards.

From the FAQs

My $200 gift card purchased from Christmas deal suddenly became $1 in march. Target gift card support says it is geniune in store transaction made 1200 miles away from my place. My account is not compromised and i never went to that city. I was told that there is no fraud protection on these gift cards

This is more like 5% off, because using the Redcard gives you 5% off already.

Use a cash back credit card when you buy the GC and you get 1% Target circle rewards when spending it. So yeah for most still not 10% better than RedCard but ~7-8% better.

This is the dumbest advice in this thread. The average person interested in this is more than capable of spending $500 in the next few months. Per terms you don't earn circle cash with target gift card purchases. Not sure if that's in practice though.

When I click on the offer link, it says "offer unavailable." Maybe it's dead? I have a Target Redcard and I was logged into my account.
