The footage should be accessible to police if the owner of the cameras gave permission or police obtained a court order, but they shouldn't be able to get footage without one of those two circumstances as it's a violation of privacy. Just because police suspect a crime may have occurred doesn't mean that one did and the evidence they have of a crime might not be sufficient enough to violate someone's right to privacy. That's for a court to decide. Ring should just have an agreement that an owner can sign off on or not, that in an emergency situation Ring can provide footage without needing to get permission each time. I would agree to that as long as it's an exigent situation, like an in-progress hostage situation or an active shooter, but not after the fact without my permission. Chances are I would agree anyway, but absent a court order I should be able to make that decision, not Ring and not the police.

Just use the same SSID and it'll pick up automatically.

I own this and it was a huge upgrade over the spotlight. Field of view and lights are solid. This is a great price. FYI also available on amazon for the same price if that's your thing.

Love this light and it has been great to feel a sense a security. I need to get individual cameras around the house but Ring doesn't make them I think.

Im not sure if i should wait for the pro or not.... i just dont see if i need the birds eye feature... hmm i would prefer more responsive connectivity to load the video when theyre at my door and not leaving my house on the sidewalk (no its not a network issue on my end, more a cloud responsiveness and hardware issue)

Ring is horrible. I changed my wifi recently and Ring made me set up and stair to climb up and reset the wifi.

Not all ring products appear to be on sale, contrary to the deals description. A few products seem to be on sale but the product OP listed seems to be the sole item with the largest discount. Other ring cameras are either $10 off or not on sale at all.

It looks like the floodlight and the ring chime.
Ironically those were the ones I was going to buy anyway. Regardless, every other retailer jumped on these deals so the same price is available just about anywhere now.

I had mines for about 2 years now. Resolution on these are poor compare to eufy and others. At night good luck seeing clear video of people's faces more than 10 away. During the day it gets better but still not acceptable. Ring needs to upgrade the resolution before I consider getting another.

Pray tell, who are these "people" and why should Ring security cam videos not be accessible to the police?
Their purpose is to capture and provide evidence, so if you're not doing anything shady then there shouldn't be any concern.
Otherwise, you probably shouldn't have installed them if you value privacy over safety.
Wondering what the differences are between the original Ring Floodlight cam vs the Plus? It appears Ring may have just updated the name to Plus. And then added the Ring Floodlight Pro to the lineup. Pro includes birds-eye view, which does nothing for me. Wished Ring would upgrade their camera resolution to at least 4k and motion detection software. Sometimes I won't receive the alert until the person walks 30 ft past the floodlight and rings the doorbell.

If it matters the pro loses on on supported temperature too -5 for the plus vs -22 on the regular one. May not matter every where but matters where I live.
