A watch is for keeping time. Anything more is aesthetic. People buy watches like this simply to flaunt they can afford to spend $10k on something that doesn't keep time as accurately as a $3 digital watch. It isn't a ferrari that while obscene, actually does perform better than a corolla. It doesn't evoke envy or respect, it implies vanity, ignorance, selfishness, and probably overcompensation for something.

Relying on wealth to define oneself is as sad as it is common.

Donate the money to children or animals in need instead.
