In/out C is nice. A reason to upgrade over the last one I had.

Seems like a decent deal for something monoprice branded but don't be fooled by the heavy duty: 12V Engines up to 4.0L Gas/2.4L Diesel - probably means it won't be able to output enough cranking amps for many vehicles on the larger end of the market.

Yeah, I was gonna say... 800 is on the really low end nowadays... I'd be surprised if they worked on a completely dead 4 cyl.

MY
Infiniti is 4.6L, this won't work. Might work on a Civic or Corolla though??

My Costco Type S jumper says up to 400A 3S. No clue what the 3S is but I know what 400A are. And didn't realize it was that low. But it's been very reliable to jump start my 1.6L 4 cylinder. I've had to jump it multiple times a day as I needed to run errands and when I got back home I put it on the trickle charger and I can go weeks without needing a jump again. This one seems better as it has a higher cranking Amps.

" features an 8,000mAh/29.6Wh lithium‑ion battery."

YIKES. Waaay to small to be useful, unless you have a subcompact/compact car.

Its $15 more, but this one is 1500a of cranking power, vs 800a for the OP:

How does this one handle multiple jumps in a day? I know with the Costco type S I can easily do 4-6 jumps a day and not charge it until it hits down to 30% (battery is 6 years old and Sat for a year and has been drained from sitting for weeks in the winter) . I've jumped a F150 V8 with it once before. And it was at 70% or so at the time.

Own this. The lipo battery is too small and will degrade and puff after not many jumps. Jumped my wife's car with it 3 times and afterwards it would die with just one crank attempt and the case is buldging from the swollen battery. They did replace it and the same thing happened again 2 months later jumping a friends v6.

I would recommend putting the $30 towards something better.

Yes, it's 6 years old and has been drained down by hardwired dash cam, fixed that. Also the car sat for a year during COVID shut downs. And I hardly use the car. I needed the car and didn't have time to get the car battery switched out. I had to run a bunch of errands which I would usually just take the other car as this one is just an extra/ a backup. but it wasn't an option that day. and frankly spending $100 - $150 on a new battery for it to just once again sit there doesn't make sense for me. But in the winter if I use the car more often i will need to switch it out as the cold drains the battery over night to the point that it won't start. But then I'm back to the same problem spending money for something that will just sit there and hardly be used. I think I only put less then 1k miles a year on the car.

I just returned the 1200A version because it couldn't even come close to jumping my 2000 Hyundai Tiburon I keep hanging onto for some dumb reason. The vehicle battery had enough juice to turn the engine over a couple times before the starter just clicked but this thing didn't get it to start. Brought out a real battery and it cranked right over, no problem. Tried it again after turning the car off with the 1200A and still no dice. Don't recommend for any real world use.

You guys are funny, I bought a ravpower 500A that's like 7 years old and it has jump start every vehicle that has used it ... 3.0l V6 Mercedes c300, 4.0l v6 Tacoma, Corolla, 1.4l celica. This will turn over a battery just fine. The comments here are like the ones in the power tool department...not enough power...but user only makes coffee tables. I guess I'll add that it's obviously a different brand and maybe more efficient, I'm just pointing at the comments that claims the 800A is not enough across the board
