Having said that I do own both Echo show 5 and 8 and 5 is definitely is small screen but it doesn't matter you use it mostly as a smart clock, to stream music or audiobooks and general notifications and stuff from Amazon. You can use this as a home camera when you are away and also use the drop-in feature to make video calls when you are away. And if you have it placed on your desk or pretty close to you, you can also it as video feed for your ring, wyze cameras and doorbells. But please be mindful that "5 inch screen" is actually 5 inches and will smaller in size than any screen which is larger than 5 inches..because you know that's how numbers work..

If there was ever a Blonde Bimbo in this world, Alexa would have to be it.
Alexa knows nothing..can find the answer to nothing.
And the few answers that Alexa can find are not even close to the questions that I ask. Alexa can tell the time....Alexa can tell you the weather....and SOMETIMES..Alexa can find the song that you asked for. Beyond that, you will just stand there wondering why you even tried to get blood from a stone and asked in the first place.
Alexa isn't great at answering random questions, but it's far superior for smart home devices than Google. I have a Google Nest Hub and a bunch of Nest Minis, and they're the buggiest hubs I've ever used. They are constantly disconnecting from my devices, crashing and restarting randomly, and respond to my voice less consistently than my Alexa devices. Alexa has been rock solid for home automation, and it's pretty universally agreed upon that they're far ahead of the others in that regard.

I don't get complaining about the size when the size is clearly listed. You know how big it is before you order. So if you buy this to watch Netflix or serve as a digital picture frame, it sucks, not because it's a bad product, but because you were stupid to order a 5" screen for that use.

I shared my experience. I don't get how that is complaining. But whatever floats your boat dude. glad you enjoy them. I don't. 🙄

If you plan on using it as a TV to watch videos on the regular and aren't in somewhere like a kitchen or close by, then I see your point. But in a bathroom or kitchen, they do the job pretty well. Sound is also loud enough imo for things like listening to a YouTube podcast while doing things around the kitchen. Imo buying for $35 and expecting reasonable functionality w/o things like deep bass or a 19" screen, you'll appreciate this as much as myself.

If you are thinking about digital frame, its not good at that too, cropping is worst.

The 1st was terrible to hear or slow to respond. People said it was a software issue that seemed to never got fixed.
I think they do something on purpose to make you upgrade like every other electronic, but that's just my thoughts.
