This happens with anything that becomes this popular. But don't be fooled. It has great sound, a little on the bassy side of neutral, and so an excellent compromise for those that want something fun but still accurate enough to do prosumer-level audio production.

Amazing headphones, just be prepared for the underside of the head band to start peeling from the oils in your hair/on your scalp.

If you plan long term use with these just buy a band protector as this user is right it peels pretty quick with heavy use

Great deal on a great headphone. The 50x has been the standard audiophile headphone at the $100-$150 price point so long, that it's popularity has provoked some haters who will say it's over-rated. This happens with anything that becomes this popular. But don't be fooled. It has great sound, a little on the bassy side of neutral, and so an excellent compromise for those that want something fun but still accurate enough to do prosumer-level audio production.

When I go straight to the site it shows up at $149.99 but I when I click on the link from the deal it shows up as $109. That's weird.

Agreed. These are absolutely fantastic. I've heard Ghost Reveries by Opeth through these and it is an absolute joy to hear the clarity. If someone is looking to get these, $109 is definitely a solid price

Had these a few years ago when people would rave about these. They were great for a little over a $100, the bass was good but did not last over a year and half. The cord would get stiff from sweat (didn't happen with other headphones/cords) then found the weak point is the swivel on the ear pads. Maybe I was rough but it broke and became un-useable. After that I searched for headphones without that weak point swivel. Got Superlux HD668B for $40 bucks. The weak point with those is the connection point where it dangles. Eventually cracked over time. Now I'm on Monoprice - 116150 for $27, no weak point swivel or dangling connection point. Been happy so far.

I don't notice too much bass from them. I have the 2012 edition so I'm not sure if it differs but I wanted to make people on the forum realize it's not "beats by dre" level of bass haha

have these for 4 years and daily gamer, just take care and clean ur stuff regularly.
Also highly recommend getting some after market earpads like BRAINWAVZ
