That is the review of the RTX 3050 Ti model which has slightly different cooling solution and Internals. So, thermals are not comparable. Any model below RTX 3060, has one soldered 8GB memory and one Ram slot.
Also, the cooling solution has major upgrade over the RTX 3050/Ti models, just like last year's 7610. The RTX 3060 version has one extra heat pipe and 3 Fans compared to the 2 fans and heat pipes in the RTX 3050/Ti models.
Although the review mention 3050 graphics instead of 3060 graphics, it is still highly relevant because of the comments about the display, build quality, and keyboard.
Having 2020 in the title of the deal doesn't make sense consider this has a 12th generation processor.

Yes, thanks.
The fans on my two iGPU samples rarely turned on more than at an imperceptible level. My keyboard would get a little warm sometimes but i think that's just the choice that dell made. I think with additional improvements in cooling it will let that 12th gen run hard longer.
The only thing I do that might use a separate gpu is Video Enhance AI.
The xps 15 9520 with the same specs cost a lot more than this. Is the reason is because of the xps screen and how well it is built?
The xps 15 9520 is much superior than this dell inspiron 16 plus 7620 then? The processor, ram and everything you could get the same as the xps though except the screen? So you are paying more for the xps name or it's the screen and built?
Is the battery going to last the exact same? However, it has a 3k display. So compared to a 1920x1200 xps 15 9520, it would have less battery but the same or more compared to OLED? But if its a 4k screen, it would have more battery?

Thanks for pointing that out as it was typo from my end. Edited now.

But i keep hearing about the bad touchpad?
So this isn't a premium device like the xps?
The equivalent display in XPS has higher brightness and better Color gamut in Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 color spectrum, making it a superior device for professional grade photo and video editing. Apart from that, although both laptops have goof build quality, XPS uses some other shock resistance Carbon fiber based coating in some areas to make it more durable. On top of that, aseptically XPS is more pleasing with even narrower borders, even slimmer and very slightly lighter design and superb speakers, arguably best in Windows Laptops.
But you have to keep in mind that, due to that slimmer and lighter design, XPS 15 does not come up anything over RTX 3050 Ti 45W and you won't even get it with RTX 3060 like this one, no matter how much you are willing to pay.
Hope the above explanation answers your questions.
I need a RJ45 port otherwise this would be perfect
None of these Slim and light weight high performance laptops come with RJ-45 Port anymore and you need to get either Workstation or Gaming laptops if you want Ethernet Port. But a $10 USB 3.0 to RJ-45 Cable or a $20 Type-C hub can solve that problem for you.

In my opinion, this laptop is a superior one based on the below points:
The RTX 3060 GPU on this is way way better than ARC 370 graphics in terms of performance and driver support and gaming performance. Intel ARC 370 was presented as RTX 3050 competitor which itself is over 40% slower than 3060 and on top of that, due to very poor driver support from Intel at this point, the real world performance is even lower, especially in gaming, in a level of Nvidia MX570.
The Ram on this is user upgradable and you can go up to 64GB, vs 32GB soldered in the Lenovo one.
For multimedia purpose, this one has better speaker system, two 2 Watt Speakers on Lenovo vs four 2W speakers on this.
This one has a 86 WHr battery vs 75 WHr on Lenovo that is actually very important to get better battery life as Intel 12th Gen Processors suck a lot of juice.
Webcam is 1080p vs 720p in Lenovo.
Lenovo has a 1600P 120Hz 400 nits display which is definitely better for gaming bit none of these 2 laptops are not designed for that. This has a higher resolution display with same color gamut and is actually better for editing work in Photos and videos. Lenovo's advantage is the higher brightness.

I would really appreciate it if you could share your thoughts about this vs. the other deal you posted for the Lenovo slim https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/t/16013035
