7800xt goes on sale in 4 weeks. It will perform better. Probably not cost that more. It doesn't need to anyway.
if they refuse to sell it for a normal price like nvidia, just wait. That's the only way prices will go back to normal. The card if fast and also lacking all new features. They want premium full prices. the car should never have been 1k.

Once that pent-up demand has been satiated, and after the Nov 3 AMD RDNA3 7xxxx series card announcement, then maybe prices will start to come down again, especially if the 7xxx cards are priced more reasonably than nVidia's offerings.
