If you're so sure, then I'm sure you don't know what you're talking about. This vendor is a branch of a NASDAQ listed company called Liquidity Services. They have contracts with major retailers and manufacturers to collect overstock and returned merchandise. They then refurbish the product of necessary, repackage and resell.

They used to have an investor relations segment on their website stating that they have a contact with Sony, but those sections have been removed. This is all that's left, but they do cite Sony as a partner. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/02/19/l...iness.html

Aside from that there have been dozens of posts about Secondipity on SD and, and if you read through them, the sentiment is overwhelmingly positive.

I have been watching these for a while. I was kicking myself for not buying them at this price last time..... While I know that this doesn't help here. On the listing the other day they were this price or best offer. They were accepting $200 offers. So, I was glad I waiting in the end. Just putting this out there for others if they have not been watching. They could do another best offer listing in the future.

What is Sonys strategy with these? Mass produce them with qc issues and hope people don't return them? I found the clamping and non foldability a big issues with these

Most of reviewers said noise cancellation effect of XM5 is worse than XM4, but better on mic and comfort. If it's less than 200 I will give it a try

I've had zero qc issues with my xm2. It's been working great for me for the last 4 years. Same for my cousin who uses their xm3 for frequent business travel.

Well, they look and feel brand new with all original accessories. But some of them at least have been used. Mine looked new, no marks whatsoever, however they were paired to 2 previous devices, and the Bluetooth name was listed as "matt's xm5s". I also got a pair of Linkbuds S for $99, and they also looked new, if they were used, at least they were thoroughly cleaned, no earwax or anything like that.

I bought them from secondipity last time. Come in like new condition, with accessories. XM5 are not audiophile grade but I do like sound, modern design and effective sound cancellation. It has multipoint support so I use them with iPhone and Windows computer at the same time. Have decent microphones and I can use them for phone calls with noise cancellation enabled, for example I can do dishes and person on the other end can hear me clearly and like I am taking phone call in a quiet room.

Bought other Sony headphones from them, also looked new but without retail box.
