I just glued a little magnet on either side of the m18. Goes right above the battery. M12 is a little more tricky, but it will go on the back. Home Depot sells those
little round ones which are real handy for a variety of purposes.

According to the reviews for the Ryobi version, they just use double sided tape vs an actual screw. Found these that may work instead for a couple bucks more on Amazon:

got mine today, they kind of suck. can only be used on right side of drill. only good for short bits as get in your hands way (if right handed). good for lefties. magnet is weak. also, the battery holders are made of cheap plastic...all going back
