Beware that the proprietary battery that you have to buy from Flume for 14.99 only last a month or two. I had the Flume 1 which uses 4 AA Lithium batteries and last only about 6wks, ($12) each replacement. Good price if the batteries lasted a year.
It's a trap!
Contact support, my flume 2 had an issue that drained batteries. They sent a new device and battery

might be a stupid question but my in-laws have ladwp but they probably won't be interested in this. can i have them buy it and then install it at my house that's not ladwp? thanks.

You need an LADWP account number to purchase it for $50. Not sure on the requirements for the rebate, but $50 isn't bad.

My account number isn't working - i emailed support. Great deal and I hope there isn't anything limiting my ability to get this. Was seriously about to purchase one a few weeks ago and held off because of the price.

My batteries last a year. Something is wrong with yours.
Flume 2 is excellent and not sure what everyone is talking about proprietary battery unless they have changed them.
Mine has two battery packs (i bought an extra) and I just buy 8 LITHIUM aa batteries (4 to each pack) and they last a good long while. The packs are removable and the batteries are replaceable.
Also, my meter is about 1100' from the bridge (which is in an unobstructed window) and I have no problems with signal.
It's a great device, originally had Flume 1 and upgraded to Flume 2 some time ago, happy to answer any questions. Great app, actually a fun install also. Their support is absolutely excellent also.
Even if you dont have LAWPD (whatever that is) it's worth buying outright.

I think it measures magnetic fields that's produced from the meter.
Battery lasts a long time for me, although I do wish it wasn't a proprietary battery.
