This bundle requirement must have been implemented very recently. Just 2 weeks ago i purchased a series x through them no bundle required. They probably changed to the bundles after realizing everyone was buying through them with discounted gift cards acquired elsewhere

Holy $##t you're right, they let you "bundle" a console solo until very recently. Dollar General deal used to always be 20% off this time of year also. Definitely going grey market now.

I bought about $300 worth and bought mine last year this way. I already had a couple hundred in my Microsoft account. Had to spread the purchase at dollar general across 2 cards over the span of a few hours to avoid their fraud detection locking out card sales according to the employee there. I had no problem redeeming 12x $25 cards.

Yes you can pile them into your MS account. The dollar general by me also had $50 cards at 15% off… less typing codes in.
