Not sure what "weak" means. Fans list CFM: the amount of airflow generated. Noise generated is a minimum amount of CFM/Throughput Area. Poor design can make a fan noisier, but commonly fans stick to a design that doesn't deviate that much

They push a ring of air rather than a slug of air, so for my purposes in hot and humid south Florida, I couldn't justify keeping them. I mainly use fans to blow air over me and my work area when working outside in the carport. I have much smaller fans that seem to put out an equivalent cooling breeze, but with more noise, because they're smaller and higher rpm.
Beautiful fans though and probably great for others with different expectations.
Oh, and I also have a couple of 42" drum fans that do put out a solid slug of air, rather than a ring, so perhaps I was expecting something similar with this DeWalt fan.
As it's primary function is to move air, not direct air in any specific direction, it wouldn't be effective to cool off a specific area.
If you add ducting and attach it to a wall or frame, you can use it as a whole house fan or to test a space for air leaks.
I don't have experience with this fan, but I plan on getting one for future use.

So what are people buying that is better? Both in the CFM and in the decibels of sound?
