I can help you decide using the old SD rule of thumb.

If you are questioning if you need this instead of pulling the trigger...you don't need this and you should pass.

Sweet specs though.
TOMSGUIDE5 for an extra $92 off.
If this thing wasn't so damn big and if we weren't so close to BF I'd be seriously considering it.
If this is too big... You are a weeny

Deal dead? Was on the fence cause it didn't come with a sd reader or number pad.
Looks like it's dead. I ordered this a couple days ago. Coupons are no longer being accepted if I try to go through the same process that worked then.

FWIW, you can buy a USB SD reader for like $10. I think it's an omission myself, but they aren't expensive.

Got in on deal on Friday. Can anyone recommend a docking station to keep my printer and other stuff. I will not be using external monitor at this time.
I don't imagine my Lenovo 40AN0230US ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 Workstation Dock will work with this,

Doesn't look like mine is going to deliver on time to take advantage of the $120 off $600 American Express offer. I ordered on 10/5 with an estimated delivery date of 10/25, but it hasn't even entered production yet, and American Express deal expires on 10/28. Dell rep said there is a supply shortage so deliveries will be delayed, but said they couldn't prematurely charge me for the order, so you're basically out of luck if that $120 off was factored into your decision to buy this.
Extremely frustrated by this...

Same situation here. Was scheduled to be delivered by 10/26. But the status still shows "in production". Got the congratulation email from AMX on the 10/5. Would this be considered redeemed offer?

Same here...supposed to have it this week...just checked status...moved to DECEMBER! How the F does a huge and modern manufacturing company like Dell not have a clue when they are going to deliver? So pissed my Amex won't work...going to end up canceling...

Reach out to Dell Customer support, they may be able to match the $120 because they offered that to me. I still cancelled because I stacked the Amex deal 3 times, so still would've ended up paying $240 more.

Good tip...but yeah I stacked twice...hmmm. also how much confidence do I have that they meet their next deadline given they were so sure of 10/26 right up to yesterday but suddenly it's 6 more weeks...

Yeah it's not a great look - my confidence shopping with Dell is tainted by this experience. Lenovo's Legion laptops seem to be a much better bang for buck anyway (without factoring in the Amex deals), so I'm just not going to waste my time next time I'm relying on time-sensitive credit card promos. If Dell is able to guarantee you the $120 credit and you're just spending an extra $120, and you're not in a hurry, I'd think this is still worth keeping the order open and cancelling if you find something better during Black Friday. Even being out $240 this still would've been a good deal, but the overall experience left a sour taste in my mouth.
Good luck!

Mine still says it will be here the 26th but its not even 'in production'. Was also using the Amex deal and will probably cancel. Dell cancelled an order I placed after a slick deal a few months back with some Bs excuse and now this. Clearly they have a lot of issues. Agree with commenter above Lenovo legion is what I'm looking to buy now. No more Dell.

Ordered this Oct 4 with an estimated ship date of the 21st. Contacted Dell and they say they are behind with parts supply. Canceled it today and went with the Legion 5 Pro Gen 7 AMD (16") with RTX 3070 Ti for $100 cheaper and it will be here Thursday. Dell never fails to disappoint!

Yeah I'm a bit torn. No real rush and it is a good deal regardless, but I've been seeing the lenovos too and I do like their build quality generally speaking. Gonna think about it for a couple days...

I am also in the same unenvious position of splitting charge over 3 Amex credit cards banking on $360 back. I will wait a little longer but probably end up cancelling.

I went on chat and asked why there was a delay. They said the processors where backordered and offered me a $150 credit without even asking.
