You're talking about the 15incher? In that case, you can't really compare. 17s are always more expensive. Sometimes prohibitively so

GPU is 6700M is not as powerful as 6800M ( Asus Rog Strix was on sale two months ago) . Maybe need to wait till Black Friday or another sale .

you aint kidding. im in the market for a 17" laptop for remote desktop work and outside of outdated models, finding a deal in the 600-800 range has been a difficult task. most are high performance gaming machines. all i need to do is run cad remotely and have a bit of future proof to it.

No, it's not. It's closer to the RTX 3070 in most titles, with deactivated RT of course.

I'm going based on benchmarks... GPU Benchmark shows the RTX 3060 Laptop scores 12,985 whereas the Radeon RX 6700M scores 12,903 for a very similar score.

Personal opinion, my biggest regret to buy a Alienware R3 last year, too hot all the time (not even playing games), hindge broken with normal use, too noisy, just my opinion.

Are these still usable as a small space heater while doing anything on them? My previous XPS and Alienware a thermal throttled so hard I got fed up and sold them just to be done with it.
