Has been free for weeks now, although today I noticed the splash screen did not say "complimentary session" as it has been, however the session still appeared to be free.
However, anyone knows that with EA, that you need to ask many, many questions and know what youre getting into because of their random breakdowns...
do you need an active account with $$ inside of it to access? Or is it like the Earth Day/Labor day deals where you can just take the connector and plug in without any NFC scanning?
Does the "glitch' just happen at the end of the charging session, or is it obvious that youll get gratis charge from the get-go?
They've been free for a few weeks now, at least a couple I've encountered (Palm Desert, CA). In the myAudi app it said something about how EA chargers were undergoing planned maintenance in early September, which is when they started to become "free". At the end of the charge session, it shows the total charge price, minus a 100% discount bringing the total to $0. I suspect once this maintenance/upgrade is done they'll no longer be free.
