I've read rumors that this set is going to be retired at the end of the year. Not sure how much validity those rumors have, but if you're looking to pick this up eventually, you may not want to sit on it too long.
Latest news is it was pushed to end of 2023 to retire. They put the price increase on this set from 200-250 as it's been selling well. LEGO will milk it another year. Good price based on the recent increase for those that waited.

If it is just a piece or two, request it from Lego customer support. They will happily ship it and if it is a common piece, they don't bother with charging.

If it is a more then a few pieces, you can actually order individual pieces from Lego but not everything is there. I had more luck with ordering from Bricklink in such cases.
We recently completed the succulents set and encountered two missing flower pieces. I assumed it'd be straight forward process to get a few missing pieces, but my request was denied. I had originally ordered the set via Amazon. Of note, this was our first time requesting any missing pieces.

"Thanks for your recent LEGO® parts request.
We're sorry, but we haven't been able to process your order ######## as it didn't pass our validation checks. This could be for a number of reasons and it may simply be that the number of parts you've requested exceeds our maximum order quantity.

We'd like to help you get the replacement parts you need, but as the validation process is automatic, any similar orders you place through our website will also be cancelled.
If you'd like to place the order again, please get in touch with us and we'll be happy to help. You can find our contact information at LEGO.com/service."

They're pretty good once you contact customer support. As the message says, their automated system has some checks to stop scalpers (some of those unique pieces fetch a decent price on Bricklink) and others abusing the system. It's pretty dumb, though, and just does stuff like deny requests with more than X number of parts requested, or requesting unique or high-value parts, etc.

Once you explain things to support, they usually approve everything as long as you're not abusing the system

Interesting, I made 3 missing item requests over the years and none were denied. 2 were for simple pieces but 1 was actually a motor for 4x4 which I had to go through customer service since it wasn't available in the inventory list online.

Just talk to customer support though, they are really good.
