Woot woot!! Walmart has the 4 pack of dough for $9.99 and a couple trout spinner combo packs for $5. Anyone else just get set for trout season last night? Got 4 ultralights rigged and a trout bag setup... Jersey starts stocking next week! Just hope to get out there and enjoy it...
Will these be good for bay fishing (brackish water)?
Probably not
In my experience, these are all trout baits. Particularly good for stocked trout. There are plenty of other things that work well for brackish -- maybe start with a gulp swimming mullets on 1/4 oz to 1/2 oz jigs? Go down to 1/8 or 1/16 oz if you're targeting smaller fish like surf perch or white perch.
Maybe none of them, unfortunately! These are really freshwater trout baits. For surf, try Fish Bites on circle hooks, or whatever cut bait (crabs, clams, mullet, prawns) folks are using in your area.

Trout season opener here in socal is a drag at my local lake. Ppl flood the bank and its no fun, at least from my perspective. I like fishing in solitude, not shoulder to shoulder/seat to seat. I was less motivated to get out last season because of this. Maybe this season i'll give it a go though.

These have been solid for me (white head/pink body). I'm in for four to get that 5% off!
