Only storage devices of 3kWh or above qualify for the credit, this is only 1kWh - so the panel would be covered, but not the battery.

The battery isn't dead after 3000 cycles, it's just reduced to 80% of original capacity. If you don't do 0 to 100% cycles but keep it to 10-80 for example it'll last much longer. Weird how you don't do the calculation of how much it takes to get your money back on a gas generator.

Not a simple comparison. Gas generators consume significant fuel even if the load is low. Small generators with 1 gallon capacity will consume a full tank in 8 hours even if you have no load on it. If you're using it for a refrigerator which uses less than 10 watts when the compressor is off but draws a few hundred watts to cool down at 1-2 hour intervals, your fuel efficiency per kWh will be terrible with all the idling losses.

Amazing info on the tax credit ! Thank you. It came to $1160 for me with a $50 coupon (plus $72 tax ) and 5% Amazon credit card credit brings it to $1102. Assuming the tax credit works and that the sales tax portion of the price is included in the calculation of the credit as appears to be the case — that would mean a $320 credit ( not just a deduction but a credit ) bringing the total to $720 for both items.

Curious noob. Would these two items be all we need, or is there more equipment needed to interface with and charge the power station?

Ecoflow's site for Delta 2 [ecoflow.com] says the needed solar charging cable (MC4 to XT60) included only with purchase of EcoFlow portable solar panels, you may need to contact them if it does not come with package.

May consider The Delta 2 Waterproof bag [amazon.com]if using outside or use in cold climates.

Good deal. I've been looking at the Delta 2. Just don't love the unit's inefficiency - amongst the worst in its class. But I am tempted, just to go with a big name. Haven't been impressed with Bluetti's CS.

Are the other units pure sine wave and above 85%, what are you seeing?

City Prepping on YouTube has it at 74% real world efficiency on AC. He reviews a Pecron with great efficiency, capacity and price, but just not sure I can bring myself to pull the trigger on such an unknown brand.

Add both together with 27% Off Promo Savings. JJNEW9TK should work to bring total down to $1210. Panel was on sale for $439 recently but I doubt we will see much lower on the Delta 2 anytime soon. Solar Generator systems also qualify for 26% tax credit before the end of the year. [bestgeneratorsolar.com]

Edit: Now $50 coupon on product page that may make it cheaper if you can stack.

$762 - Ecoflow Delta 2 [amazon.com]
Pure Sine Wave (85% Efficiency)
1024Wh Capacity
1800W AC Output
500W MPPT Solar Input (11-60V, 15A)
AC fast charging (0%-80% in 50 min)
Charge with solar
LFP (LiFePO4) 3000 Cycles at 80%+
Emergency Power Supply (EPS)
App control
One-stop EcoFlow power solution
Portable product design
5-year warranty

$448 - EcoFlow's 220W Bifacial Portable Solar Panel [amazon.com] is two in one. With a 220W primary side, and a 155W side on the back for ambient light, you can capture up to 25% more solar energy and charge your portable power station even faster.
I pulled the trigger. Got the $50 coupon to stack with your code, so $1160.05 before tax, used 5% Amazon business card so that'll eat a large chunk of the taxes. Great deal for what you get, thanks OP.

I had earlier in the thread mentioned the low efficiency of this unit. I watched a few more videos at Hobotech had the AC efficiency at 81% which is better.

By adding and removing stuff from my cart on the Ecoflow website directly, I'm able to get another 220W Bifacial solar panel for $439, so I'm tempted to pull the trigger on that to double up.

Even better, post updated! I wondered how I got the $439 price via Ecoflow, good for anyone to try and replicate.

Only storage devices of 3kWh or above qualify for the credit, this is only 1kWh - so the panel would be covered, but not the battery.

Does this only apply to residential storage? Bluetti or ecoflow ones are portable power storage, do they qualify for this credit? Summer time I bought 10kwh powerkit from ecoflow, wonder if I can get some tax back on that.

I saw that, I'm not sure if he did something weird on the test or just got a bad unit. I got 91% when attached to the spare battery and 86% standalone. I'm not affiliate with Ecoflow in anyway, this was independent.

Really encouraging to hear, thanks. I saw Hobotech got 81% on AC, which was good enough for me to pull the trigger.
