Reviews not so good says it dies at 6 months and warranty is only 3.

Reviews are horrendous. Seems like there is fraud when they intentionally sell a defective product.

Where are you seeing this and how is it related to the mini fridge?

XBOX MINI FRIDGE FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Can I run the Xbox Mini Fridge continuously?
A: We don't recommend running your Xbox Mini Fridge continuously. We recommend running it on a 48-hour on / 2-hour off schedule in order to prevent frost buildup.

Q: I forgot and left the fridge on too long. Now I have frost buildup on the fan. How do I get rid of the frost?
A: Don't worry - Just turn off your Xbox Mini Fridge and allow the frost to melt normally. Wipe up any melted frost with a dry cloth, and you're good to go!

Q: How do I clean my Xbox Mini Fridge?
A: Wipe any stains clean with a damp cloth. Don't use cleaners or solvents as it may damage the matte-black surface of the fridge.

Q: How cold can my Xbox Mini Fridge get?
A: The Xbox Mini Fridge operates with a solid-state Peltier style cooler which has a physical limitation to chill to 20-degrees below ambient temperature. Therefore, if your room is 70-degrees Fahrenheit, your fridge can chill to about 50-degrees Fahrenheit.

Q: How much power can the USB port provide? Does it provide fast-charge capabilities?
A: The USB port provides 5V at 500mA. That's enough to charge a phone or other USB device, but does not support fast-charging.

Q: What is your warranty-policy for the Xbox Mini Fridge Thermoelectric Cooler?
A: The warranty-policy can be found here.

Cant chill anything worth a bean. Drinks barely get cold at all in there. Its a glorified electric cooler, not a fridge by any standard. Purchase if you want a cool collectible, but if you need a fridge thats actually a fridge, look elsewhere.
I have one and I like it for what it is, but a fridge, it is not.

An electric cooler that is severely overpriced even after the $20 gc is not a deal. These things usually sell for $40 to $50 normally.

0.5A (500mA) is very, very slow for todays technology

That's like charging and still losing power while on the phone.
For $99 this doesn't seem like a good deal. Cool collectors piece for sure.

I have two mini fridges already, but I'll probably bite on this just for decoration and to hide a power outlet between two Arcade1up cabs.

This is 100% accurate. I picked one up a few months ago for kicks. It's a fun novelty but not a great fridge.

But calculate the value of how many girls it will get you at your next party, which is zero because your warm drinks will impress nobody at the sausage party you didn't have because all your friends are online. Thanks Xbox.

Look at the reviews, was going to buy one a month ago but opted out of it because they all said they died so quick
