Still a useful find!

These are well-built machines for pour-over setups. You won't be happy using this for espresso, but for drip / pour-over / cold brew, the Encore is great.

It is built with maintenance / component replacement in mind, not over-engineered like most consumer appliances. Essentially, the company made the build simple so that "regular" consumers can do their own replacements to reduce cost and waste.

This is not a "sale" but rather the new recession price.

Singular best upgrade you can make for at-home coffee production.

Just got one not even a month ago for my birthday. Love it. Great small footprint and I've heard about the repairability. I use it for my daily pour over. Came from a manual burr, I can't imagine going back. I believe it was paid for at full price.

Have had mine for 7 years grinding around 80g a day and still going strong. Be sure to check your ring burr holder every few months or if your grind seems to get less consistent - it's designed to break if anything gets jammed in the burrs instead of damaging the burrs/motor themselves

In b4 it sells out. I hopped on the Eureka Mignon Krono a while back but man does that thing make a mess. I would rather have this one for consistency and ease of use vs. the stepless design of the Eureka. I do pour over, drip, and aero press which this does well, no espresso grind for me.

Bought this for $139 open box. Wish I would have waited for this price. Good grinder so far for daily Aeropress.

I have a slightly upgraded version of this the virtuoso and when I used it first time I was surprised what a difference a grinder could make.

I've been using one of these heavily for pour over for 8 years, and finally needed to replace a gasket. I loved how easy it was to get a replacement part so I could repair it myself.

I can vouch for the Encore being a great brewed coffee grinder but not up to espresso. I had an encore for years because french press was my morning routine.

About a year ago took the dive into entry-level espresso and tried really hard to make the Encore work. I got my technique down pretty good but had channeling issues I just couldn't get past. I tried everything I could but by I eventually broke down and bought an Encore. The issues immediately went away and shots became perfectly consistent.

I still have the encore in a cupboard for times I want brewed coffee. Its a really well built machine and is a great value. But if you are making espresso shell out for a machine designed to grind espresso, the Encore is not what you need.

Just ordered one of these from a local coffee shop (who is surprisingly listed on Baratza's website as an officially reseller!) to upgrade from my several year old Cuisinart Burr Grinder, which always was pretty inconsistent with it's grind, but it was cheap.
