I don't expect them to last over a year generally. At this price they seem like they would be a good value relative to cost.
I will note that the width varies between models enough that I am never confident in ordering one or the other. Almost always try to get both and return the bad one.

You'll want some trail running shoes, look at some of the New Balance stuff.
I've not had the edge. But Moab2 waterproof, Moab2gortex, as well as a few other product lines for similar application. I wore them mainly for waking in a state park 3x/week. They tend to blow out on the exterior side of the ball of the foot. This has been true of every pair of merrels I've purchased, so maybe it's a width issue and I just don't realize it. I have worn both their standard and wide width shoe in my size and still had the same issue.

Good bar near the state park or what?

As a person with wide feet, I have found altras to be wide at my mid foot and they have a wide toe box where other brands haven't been. I do have to use inserts in them because they're too flat for me. I've heard others say topos are another great shoe for wide shoes and wide toe box. I haven't tried topos myself yet but those will be my next ones based on recommendation from those I know with similar issues. For reference, I use them at work all day where I stand for long periods of time and also use them to go for walks and jogging
Nope. Just a good walk in the woods. Better stress relief than a beer any day.
I was making a bad joke on an autocorrect in your original post.
When I was in high school a guy passed out on the couch at a party. We loaded the coucj into a pickup, took it to a park, and that's where he woke up next morning.
