This actually is a good deal, the last deal if I'm not mistaken was for the regular MX Master 3, this is the business version with the Logi Bolt connector:
Logi Bolt technology is fully-encrypted and FIPS compliant when paired with the included Logi Bolt USB receiver. It delivers cross-platform compatibility and secure, reliable connections—even in congested wireless environments.
I got one of these a while back. It had problems with the scroll wheel where it didn't spin right, made lots of noise. Something was just not right with the electromagnetic scroll wheel.
I talked with their support and sent them a video, and they sent a new MX 3 for business in the mail. The new one works great. Perhaps the 3s model won't have this problem at all?
If you are considering this though, just realize that this mouse is big and heavy. If you tend to "pick up and move" your mouse, this mouse probably won't be for you. I got a Logitech G Pro X Superlight, and even though it has less buttons, I currently prefer it.

Anyone know if this mouse can be paired with the older unifying receivers, or is it ONLY compatible with the new dongles?
I've had many logitech mice including the previous MX master (original). I have this mouse as well as my primary mouse. I don't use any dongle, just bluetooth. It works great with it. No noticeable lag. I know that wasn't your question, but just responding with a different method for connection.
Logitech option software is trash. And the mouse has a lot of issues especially when you use it in your office as the signal is affected by wifi and USB 3.0
I want to invest in a good mouse, would you recommend this or Logitech vertical?
I am confused because vertical looks logically sound but most of the models are similar to this in the market!
Go for this one over the vertical unless you have tried verticals before and like them. I use the MX vertical at work and the g604 at home and the g604 feels better in the hand and is more comfortable for me.
My only gripe with the MX Master series has always been the weight. At 141g, this is almost twice as heavy as my current mouse and would certainly contribute to RSI. Their MX Anywhere mouse is a bit better at 95g but I wish they would retain the ergonomic shape of the master mouse.
I can't stand that they don't make their receivers backwards compatible. It's great that they're using their newer Bolt receiver with better security. But I already have a bunch of their devices with their Unifying receiver. The purpose of a Unifying receiver is that we should be able to connect 6 devices with just a single USB port being taken up. This new Bolt receiver will now have to take up its own USB port? Why couldn't they just make this backwards compatible so that it works with Bolt & Unifying devices?
Logitech calculated the cost of adding backwards compatibility was higher then the potential loss of customers / revenue due to the feature missing. They also calculated the small vocal minority complaining about this missing feature would not dampen the inevitable wave of users upgrading to / buying this new standard.
That's the jaded human in me speaking. On the other side of this argument, the Unifying standard had some exploited security holes, so less incentive for them to keep it going.

Anyone know if this works on glass surface? 4000 dpi vs 8000 on the 3s, does that make any difference on better tracking with the glass surface? This is the similar desk I have. Walker Edison Ellis Modern Glass Top L Shaped Corner Gaming Desk with Computer Keyboard Tray, 51 Inch, Silver https://a.co/d/7npYF2E
according to specs it should and technically it does but not perfect.
I have one for a couple of years now, which I initially started out on the glass surface of the costco sit/stand desk but had to use a mouse pad as the tracking was spotty.
Logitech has been the go to keyboard/mouse brand for me for decades. The battery life was always exceptional, maybe replacing batteries once a year.
When I saw the MX, I decided to splurge. How shocked I was to learn my keyboard and mouse need constant recharging via usb C. If you want a cordless mouse that requires a cable to be charging it 25% of the time, this is the product for you.
You will likely end up leaving the charging cable plugged in, so just get a corded mouse instead.

I also got the 3s a few days ago and love the quiet clicks lol
haha I might be the outlier as so many people in the reviews love the quiet clicks. Figure I'll test out both and return one. My keyboard has cherry mx blue so I guess I might just be a fan of clicks!
