I have had one almost 3 years. Purchased December 2019. That is used about 6 times per day.

It still has the original alkaline batteries that were installed when new. I tested the batteries about 6 months ago, and where still strong, so haven't replaced them yet.

I have a second one that is 6 months old. Original batteries still have like new charge.
I always avoid screen printed button rubber button. Over time, the number will fade, exposing your code, if you're the kind that never change it. Or they'll discolor, again, exposing the most frequently used buttons.
Maybe it's just this guy's experience but for awareness purposes

Proper way to do auto lock is with a door sensor. But that's above this price point.

Purchased a Tacklife lock for about the same price but this one is a more reputable company when it comes to door locks. Good price!

I have 2 of these. One that is 2 1/2 years old, and one that is 6 months old. They work great, and also since Kwikset, easy to rekey the manual key part if needed.

I wouldn't recommend these for an exterior door. By the way it is made, especially the finish, it doesn't look like it would hold up very well exposed to the elements.

But great for interior doors, covered entryways, interior garage entry, etc.

I have never understood why deadbolts have a squared off end and not a slight taper to help center and pull in against weather stripping.
Also the auto lock feather for this device could easily have had a sensor switch to detect the door jamb presence so it didn't auto lock with the door open.

I've had mine on the front door (actually 2 different front doors) - its been great and the batteries (for a family of 5) have worked for about 18 months before needing replacement.
