Great deal for the basic vacuum. Some of negative reviews state that it worth $50 for being basic and I can't disagree with that. Worth a shot.

Lots of 1 star reviews complaining about the vacuum not working after limited use. You can easily find lower end Sharks or Hoovers for around $100 if you wait for a sale. If you want something higher end, Karcher often sells refurbished CV300 units that they claim are floor models or have very low hours on them for around $200. That will likely outperform any Shark, Dyson, Insignia, etc. I know that's a completely different price range, but just throwing that out there for anyone interested in a BIFL type of vacuum.

The Karcher CV300 is great but keep in mind the weight. It weighs 19 pounds and we ended up returning it for that reason.

Good point. One thing that can help with that vacuum is using a soft bristle brush roll if it's hard to push on medium or high pile carpet. Did you find something that worked out for you?

Not yet...Thinking about trying the Oreck Professional with the long life belt...We don't need accessories and it's for carpet only.
