In my experience, yes. I've tried multiple machines and the BT is always hit or miss. The adapter works everytime.

Second. How well BT works is dependent on the chipset in your computer. The dongle always works and can move between computers. I would only use BT if you also want to use this on an Xbox. Then it can move between the two without re-pairing.

I have an Asus Bluetooth dongle and there were connection issues at first. You may have to troubleshoot and/or update controller firmware but after I did that, I've had zero issues with Bluetooth.

It's weird I didn't have issues for a couple months then all of a sudden my BT needed line of site to work for some reason. This adapter works way better.

No, the deal is dead now. It looks like one of those middle of the night/very early AM deals that pop up several times each year. I have snagged a few of those types and they seem to always be in the 1 AM to 5 AM range.
