I have tried using it to prevent squirrels from digging everywhere and destroying plants. But it really only works 50% of the time. During winter, they are so determined to dig and they don't mind getting a little wet. It may work better on bigger animals.

Interesting. I actually did a search for this a few days ago. I also looked up the solar flashing red lights predator eyes to keep out deer and other animals from my yard. I get the feeling that I am the oracle for all slick deals based on my Google search history.

I have 2 of these. One that is this model and one that is the previous generation. In my experience they do work well. I use them to keep the deer away from the tulips in our flower bed in the spring and to keep the deer away from the squash and watermelon that we grow by our sweet corn patch in the summer and fall.

This generation of model has both a supply and a valved pass through. Meaning that you can put this in a daisy chain of other items and that when activated you can have this turn on the attached sprinkler as well as whatever other sprinklers you tie into the top port.

Was walking my dog and a house had one of these. My dog was barely off of the side walk just walking and sniffing around. This sprinkler went off and scared the crap out of us. My dog wasn't even going to the bathroom. I went back and sh*t on their lawn, well technically on a plate and threw it from the street so I wouldn't get soaked.

These things are hit or miss. I tried the Sunjoe one and sent it back. I am sure most motion detector are the same. I have squirrels that dig up my yard and wish one of these actually worked.
There are automatic paintball gun turrets driven by AI. You could get one, program it to recognize and shoot only squirrels, and let it do its thing for a few days.
The squirrels would learn to avoid your yard probably for several generations, even if the younger generations never actually get shot by the turret.

Hey, you kids, get off muh damn lawn!

Couldn't care less about critters.
Kids? I have lazy ass adults that cross my lawn cuz they cut the corner of the sidewalk. I want to spray them.

I bought 1 of these to keep the neighbor's cat from attacking the humming birds. After he quit coming around I moved it to the koi pond to keep the blue harren away from the fish. I've been incredibly happy with the performance of these. They can be a bit sensitive at times though, which is the only negative.

These work for deers and raccoons. And the 6-8 year olds have a blast playing ninja while trying to get to the cherry tomatoes.
Just remember to change the batteries every couple months. Just lost half our Halloween pumpkins over two nights when the battery died. Wish it did a beep for battery low.

Bought this two weeks ago for full price. Works well. Returning and purchasing for sale price since Amazon wouldn't price match.
