Too bad that we don't have something similar for Indrajal Comics . This was Phantom,Mandrake, Flash Gordon, Kerry Drake, Buz Sawyer, Rip Kirby, Mike Nomad, Garth, Phil Corrigan, Bahadur , Dara, etc to name a few.
Shows chacha chowdhery, nagraj, super commando dhruv, bankelal from diamond and raj comics as the most popular kid story books in online charts but don't see any sub for them
There is a chance they notice my US address for the billing address on the card and decline my transaction. I hope that doesn't happen.
Just checked my chase card and I have a pending charge:
RAZ*Amar Chitra Katha P $39.27

Hopefully it all works out.
Just an update. I got the email confirmation around midnight PT.
Just followed the instruction to reset password and setup the account. Had no issues.
So I think it's safe to say using a US address and US CC for payment works just fine.
I used a VPN while purchasing. Not sure if it was needed. But I setup the account and browsed on the app without VPN.
Now I am seriously considering if I should also get Tinkle. Not sure if I would actually read it. My toddler still isn't at an age to read so maybe it's too early? I wonder if this would even last another 5-10 years.
below is form their support team regarding the differences between indian payment link and intl link
Hi,
Trust you are doing well.
I see that you are looking at the Indian version of the App subscription.
We wish to inform you that the Indian Subscription does not work accurately in regions outside India. Apart from this a limited addition set of physical books are also sent to the International subscribers which is not sent to subscribers in India.
You can look out for your gift package to arrive at your door step real soon.
If you are still keen on the refund then I will activate the India Pack for you and refund $60
Please let me know how to proceed further.
Whom do you talk/write to?
I wrote to one Abhishek & he is not refunding / responding..

If paying in INR Tinkle is $12 for lifetime sub. It's a no-brainer. I'm sure your toddler will find something funny in there.
One of the streaming services - Netflix or prime or hotstar (now Hulu) had Suppandi animated cartoons. I forget which one. My daughter used to find them funny. I'm sure she'll love to read the comics now.
I subscribed and got email confirmation but it says subscription is valid till 2027. I thought this was lifetime subscription. Is it not the case? Also the comics are showing $amount. Did anyone try opening them and get charged?

Worse case - you'll be out $12. Low risk 😊
Yes I do agree it's cheap. But my little one is just over a year. I think I have some time before I can get my kid to read. What age do these kids start reading and reading comics at that?
First time dad here. So sorry for the OT question.
I do have the Hotstar Indian subscription I use it occasionally with a VPN. I got it mainly for the EPL and occasional Cricket matches. I don't get to watch any though. Maybe I'll watch Suppandi with my kiddo.

The confirmation email will say that it's till 2027 because that's what their app allows and it will be updated later.
Also you won't be charged for downloading those that have a price listed from my experience. I already tried 3.
Started with my favorite: Abhimanyu.

My guess is, it'll be about when your kid is 7 yrs+ or so when they'll enjoy Tinkle. Though kids will be able to read the comics at a much earlier age, they won't grasp written jokes etc. Younger kids enjoy their humor in the form of physical comedy seen in animated shows (Tom and jerry etc.).
At age 6 they'll enjoy folk tales etc. But by my experience Tinkle stories are best enjoyed by kids in the 7 to 12 yr old bracket. If my kid reads these for year or two, I'll count myself lucky. (My daughter turns 8 in a couple of months; she's the right age I guess. My son turns 2 in a couple of months. So I'll have another chance in getting some use out of this subscription 😊).
Living in US, I doubt kids will read these for long. Eventually they'll want to read what their friends are reading and talk about those at school - Captain Underpants or Dog Man or Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Their friends wouldn't have heard of Tinkle or ACK. I suspect the age they'll enjoy these in US might be very narrow.
But for $12…. Meh. That's price of one Dog Man book. Don't overthink it 😊.
