And over past week, numerous Tmob customers, cell and home have had data connection problems, where you get disconnected from internet even though have full bars. Takes a minute or two to come back. The eggheads on reddit are helping tmob troubleshoot.. Something about ipv4 tunnel exit.
Problem seems to be the worst in New York State.
There's a way of doing it by creating a server somewhere that has public IP then you tunnel to that. It's complicated for most and even if you pull it off, then you added lag etc.
Also, last time I had it, there's no bridge mode. This thing is so simple it's designed for simple things.
Ask yourself why you would consider switching from your current ISP?
1. Is your current ISP reliable (uptime)?
2. Is your current ISP too expensive?
3. Is your current ISP's connection too slow?
4. Is your current ISP imposing a data cap?
For me it was #1. I got tired of Breezeline outages, and not interested in Spectrum due to prior experiences. Signed up for Starry Internet when they were announced here last year and never heard back.
Be aware that they are now offering T-Mobile Home Internet Lite in addition to the unlimited, which is different than the original unlimited offering (data caps). My experience is with unlimited.
I have the Arcadyan KVD21, Ethernet cable to Orbi RBK50 mesh router (Wi-Fi 5 with Tri-band), Ethernet cable from Orbi router to Orbi satellite. Running Pi-hole with the Orbi, turned off Wi-Fi on the Arcadyan. Orbi has ipv6 passthrough enabled, Orbi is set to router mode with MTU set to 1420.
Generally 150-200mbps down, 20-60mbps up. Ping is around 20 idle. 0% packet loss. Even higher speeds after 8am (to 6pm) and 12am (to 6am). People on the tower must commute to work, which I don't miss. 😁
0.75 miles from the tower and I can see the top of it from the window where the Arcadyan is located. Spent the time finding the best location. Close to a window on the second floor, up high on a shelf, rear of the Arcadyan facing the tower. Use Cellmapper to see where the tower you are connected to is located. Connected to b66/n41 99% of the time. Tower switching is rare for me. Signal to Noise Ratio (SINR in the app) is rarely less than 20 for me, and can reach up to 30 for 5G on a good day.
I work from home via corporate VPN 5 days a week, lots of Teams meetings with cameras and screen shares. I game on Xbox Series S at night (Ethernet cable plugged directly into the Arcadyan). Wife games on Switch. Xbox NAT says open after performing "Test NAT" a few times. Never had a problem streaming anything on Roku TV and Fire sticks, probably 50+ devices connected to the Orbi routers, including PCs, TVs, phones, fridge, oven, window ac, Nest thermostat, MyQ, bulbs, plugs, Wyze cams.

This persons issue is likely caused by the T-Mobile router. Two routers in line is never ideal for speed and T-Mobile doesn't offer bridge mode.
If you want to try T-Mobile Home Internet service for a two-week trial, the best way to get the latest gateway is to order new service via T-Mobile's website or by calling T-Mobile's customer service. The physical T-Mobile stores wont get the Samcom gateways until they run out of the Arcadyan gateways.
And the community forum says that the technology used by all mobile providers of fixed internet does not make port forwarding possible because there's no dedicated public IP address-- it's pooled.
I've read about some workaround but I'm a geek and I found it too challenging to conceptualize. I can use Chrome Remote Desktop, my Synology NAS TP-Link Kasa remotely but in all these cases they depend upon the vendor's cloud servers to handle the referrals.

The funny thing is their marketing/advertising people don't get it as at least weekly I get some sort of mail ad from them asking me to sign up for service.
I'd love to, but.....
Me: gives home address.
TMo: sorry, doesn't work there, do you have another address you'd like to try?
Me: give work address.
TMo; CONGRATS, it works there, do you want it?
Me: Yes! (was gonna use it at work anyway - didn't want it at home, as I have gig fiber)
a few days later: router shows up at home address. works fine. average speeds. nothing overwhelming.
I took it to work and it's got great speed and tons of bandwidth. ~1Tb a month so far w/ no slowdowns.
YMMV, but this process may be an option to try.

I used T-Mobile for several months with Nokia gateway. You're right, they don't have port forwarding due to CGNAT or whatever where one IPv4 address is shared. They did announce 5G Business Internet that can get static IP address, though I asked recently and not sure if they actually ever started offering that or not. My other issues were I couldn't use the only as a gateway (where it functions only as a modem and passes through to another router) and frequent drops.
A few months ago, Verizon started offering 5G Home Internet at my address and I switched. Speeds are faster and more consistent (300-400Mbps vs T-Mobile's wild ranges of 10 sometimes to 200 highest), I get less disconnects/restarts, none in recent weeks, and it functions like an actual ISP. They do give a non-NAT IPv4, Port forwarding is available, and Gateway only mode is also available. And it ends up cheaper for me since I'm on a T-Mobile taxed plan, so Home Internet was $50+tax, and with Verizon, I only have Home Internet and now it's $50 total, so much happier with it.
Verizon is not offered in as many places, but since it's stationary internet, once the towers are near and available, I would expect decent performance.
only 1x did they adjust price as a courtesy. Created a new account with the last letter in my name changed.
6 months ago, Told them needed to change address and new wire run(underground to replace existing 30 year OLD wire) at new house since it runs under driveway and we were replacing it.
They said since you dont have new service set up at new house we can't come out and run new line...even if we did may take several months
meanwhile at old address if landscapers cut wires, they are out in a few days to replace.
Told them FU and signed up with TMO
