Only a deal if you already have a greenworks battery and charger. Batteries are ridiculously expensive. I just replaced my dead battery and it cost $240 for 5mAh. There's a reason the bare tools are cheap.

Dumb question, but could you use an 80V Pro battery with this?
No, you can't.

I bet homedepot will have at least some returns once people found out there's no cheap battery for the tools.

Is the noise made by all blowers proportional to the power they have? Or is it possible for some to have relatively less noise than others for the same power.

I have 4 tools in Greenworks 60v line: this leaf blower (which is great BTW), trimmer, snow "thrower", and mower. I like the power they provide and they are a lot quieter than a gas-powered counterpart. The best part is not lugging a power cord around my yard and you don't smell like gas after mowing the yard.

You have to use a Greenworks 60v battery with this. No other battery will work, or even fit, I suspect. You can get different Ah batteries that will work - prices range from $130 to $250, just for the battery. The charger is another $50. You're probably better off buying another tool that comes with a battery and charger, like a string trimmer for $200 https://greenworkstools.com/produ...b8e4&_ss=c.

I bought this with battery when Lowes clearance them out couple years ago and now battery won't charge. Loved the power but dang the replacement batteries are $$$.

I haven't personally tried an adapter with Dewalt and Greenworks tools, but with other brands I have found and used such adapters with success.
