where can I get cheap battery and charger? already have a Ryobi blower kit, should I get this one still?
Don't bother. Your Ryobi is comparable to the 80V Greenworks Pro, which should be better than this 60V Greenworks Pro.

I have 4 tools in Greenworks 60v line: this leaf blower (which is great BTW), trimmer, snow "thrower", and mower. I like the power they provide and they are a lot quieter than a gas-powered counterpart. The best part is not lugging a power cord around my yard and you don't smell like gas after mowing the yard.

You have to use a Greenworks 60v battery with this. No other battery will work, or even fit, I suspect. You can get different Ah batteries that will work - prices range from $130 to $250, just for the battery. The charger is another $50. You're probably better off buying another tool that comes with a battery and charger, like a string trimmer for $200 https://greenworkstools.com/produ...b8e4&_ss=c.

With minor modification to the tabs/slots on either the battery or the tool, 60v Greenworks, Powerworks, Kobalt, and Snapper batteries are interchangeable. Same guts, very slightly different casings.

I have this leaf blower. It's pretty good and powerful enough but I've owned it for a few years and it seems that the 60v battery is a bit of a dead-end. only a few tools offered and nothing else I'd really want. Good deal only if you already have a compatible 60v battery and charger
There are tons of 60v Greenworks tools available, pretty much anything you could want for the yard: https://greenworkstools.com/collections/60-volt

I haven't personally tried an adapter with Dewalt and Greenworks tools, but with other brands I have found and used such adapters with success.

That's not for 60v.

I hate to say it but this is not worth it unless you have the battery charger. I found a pro charger for $32. But the batteries are expensive and they're not high capacity either. I'm better off buying a different brand with the batteries it will be cheaper in the long run. And I think that this discontinued 60v this line because I noticed they have green machine line coming and echo battery tools also being pushed. If you're on the fence about it, get it if you have a battery and charger otherwise I will rethink it. I know it's very tempting I almost bought it too and I don't even have a battery and charger.

You almost never want to buy a bare tool unless you already have the compatible battery and charger from other purchases in the line.

See my post above, they are not discontinued and there are tons of 60v options available - just maybe not at Home Depot.

slightly OT, but for the costco folks, they have the 80V 4ah one now (note this is NOT the old version with two 2ah batteries). Local store just got the first discount on it so its 229, which isnt an amazing price but the double battery warranty for 8yrs is the crazy thing here.

Is the noise made by all blowers proportional to the power they have? Or is it possible for some to have relatively less noise than others for the same power.
Proportional, yes without exception; equal for the same amount of power, no they can vary a lot. If you want to have the most quiet among the most powerful cordless handheld blowers on the market, then you want the Ryobi 40V 730 CFM blower. If amount of noise is one of your main concerns, look for their tools that have the Whisper Series designation, which this one has.

Depends on your ear muffs.
