    This is the model with the jelly scrolling complaint by some people. I've held off buying one due to that.

    I hope they fix that or come out with a new one, but, if Jelly Scroll is not a thing that bothers you, this is a GREAT price for a Mini.

    Good price but 64GB. The 256GB is also 549, even cheaper than what I paid with 10% military back in December with more than a month of waiting time.

    Had been thinking about buying one for some time but went in person to see it and was personally disappointed by display— have been spoiled by iPhones and iPad pros of late.

    Would recommend seeing in person before pulling the trigger. I'm hoping next release has better screen.

    FWIW, some people it does not bother. Unfortunately, it bothers the person I want to buy one for.
    BUT if it does not bother you, this is a great deal.
    I was hoping it would be fixed by now, but Apple is going with the "It's not a bug, it's a feature" defense, so...
    I was hoping for a screen upgrade before Xmas, but apparently not yet...
    Maybe see it in person and see if you hate the Jelly Scroll?

    Youtube videos are telling me jelly scrolling is present on regular iPads as well, but in landscape mode. Whereas for the Mini it is present in portrait mode.

    It's a mobile phone chip running a higher resolution bigger screen what does one expect? Before Apple had the M1 chips in the air and pro they used the X moniker to designate their mobile chips that had more video processing power for use on the iPad Pro. Although much less relevant today iPads used to be criticized for being just bigger iPhones. Now with iPad OS that's less so. But the internals used to be pretty much the same as the iPhones.
