This is the model with the jelly scrolling complaint by some people. I've held off buying one due to that.
Jelly. Scroll.
I hope they fix that or come out with a new one, but, if Jelly Scroll is not a thing that bothers you, this is a GREAT price for a Mini.

Just thought I'd add my two cents. I've had this model for a couple months now, have an iPhone 13, an iPad Pro 12.9 and a MacBook Pro 14", so I've got a good sampling of displays and thankfully the display on the Mini 6 doesn't seem anywhere near different enough to matter. I wish it had Face ID more than I wish it had a better display. The size for consumption is just awesome!

Is jelly scrolling present in other ipad models? I've used ipads since the first gen (currently using the m1 pro) and I've never experienced this.

And if it really is just the minis that have this issue then I'm even more confused
Only the mini. Jelly scroll is annoying. Worse tho is the scaling apple used on this thing. Makes it hard to view text.

the jelly scrolling is indeed very obvious. this was the least device at home that i use because of that.

Low refresh rate + jelly scrolling locked to the vertical axis instead of the normal horizontal axis.... they got so many things right with this model, yet got one so drastically wrong.

At 299, it most definitely would be a good deal, however, that is not the price here.

64gb is too little imo.

Purchased the 256gb through Amazon Renewed for $479.99 last week. I would wait for them to appear and jump on it if you're looking for a Mini. Came with 94% on the battery in perfect condition.

Jelly is a non-issue unless you're looking for it and letting it bother you.

Nothing beats the power+portability of the Mini and with Pencil 2 it's a really impressive piece of hardware. I purchased one while traveling. Having a tablet that can fit in a small sling bag gives a ton of a value as opposed to a bigger screen tablet that just sits in the hotel doing nothing.

Apple raised the price from $399 to $499 when they released this new version when there is nothing that justifies the price increase (my own opinion). Now they mark it $399 and say it's a sale, when this used to be the regular price.

The iPad Mini 6 has been "on sale" several times. Keep in mind that Apple hiked the price $100 over the previous Gen Mini, then keeps discounting it occasionally to make it look like a deal. I bought it back in May from Costco at that same price, and the jelly scrolling bothered me so much that I returned it after a week. Jelly scrolling also happened on previous Gen iPads, but the fact that they rotated the way the screen refreshes in the Mini 6 made it way more noticeable as it now happens in portrait mode rather than landscape. If you will be using it mostly in landscape mode, the jelly scroll won't bother you. If you're gonna be using it in portrait mode, Tim Cook says you're holding it wrong.

Gotta be honest. I was given a mini for free from work several months back and I am not a fan of the smaller screen size. Still very much prefer the screen size on the normal iPad for reading and media consumption. I plan to sell it before the holidays and replace with a normal size ipad.
