Google Fi offered $100 off price and $72.50 trade-in for my Pixel 4A 5G
Google Store offered $200 store credit (I am interested in a watch, not sure which one yet) and $297.50 trade -in.
Seems odd that the trade-in offer is so much higher through Google Store but I double-checked. I took screenshots in case they change trade-in amount later.
The Pixel 6 pro's fingerprint scanner works 70% of the time, The reception is a hit and miss on some places. And the phone heats up with certain apps. I'll wait for a review before buying this thing.

Now though I think I'm going to buy from the google store since the phone is much cheaper, and can get the pixel buds pro essentially for free.
This is also not very positive that the phone is discounted during pre-order. It makes me believe that this will also have lots of issues that google will never admit to or fry fixing them.
Don't get me wrong, I personally have been using Android phones since Nexus 6P time and currently on Google 6 Pro. SO not an apple devotee/ blind.
Eg. (simplifying tax, gc, and other stuff)
p6 at launch $599
p6 trade in $440
=$160 /12 month = $15 / month to use P6
get P7 $599
p7 trade in on P8 =$440 (assumption)
=$160 /12 month = $15 / month to use P7
or
p6 at launch $599
p6 trade in $260 on P8 (assumption, if p6 depreciates $15/mon) <-corrected wrong assumption
=$ 340/24 month = $14.25 / month to use P6 for 2 years <-corrected wrong math
so..you are better of trading up and getting new phone that costs you same as old one
