Trade in values for Pixel 6 series towards Pixel 7 Series
Pixel 6 128 GB - $440
Pixel 6 Pro 128GB - $480
These values are not great particularly for Pro, compared to what Samsung offers to their previous gen.

Pixel 6 pro should have at least get $600 trade in value.

It's 30 days after the phone ships. So it's actually $20 since you will have to pay two month.

It's still not bad if you don't mind store credit though.
I don't see how that would be. Say someone has a 1 year expiring and isn't going to renew they can't force them to pay another month in order to get the money back. That could then cause various issues including products with shipping delays. It is calculated at checkout so don't see how they would do that. It would be bad faith among other things.

I just found the terms:

"The earned credit is added to your account 30 days after your purchase ships, and you must still be an eligible Google One plan manager at that time in order to receive the credit."

This.

So I've selected trade-in for a Galaxy S9 (64GB), but when I go to checkout, it shows the 256GB model with no way to select the 64GB model. I'm guessing they only take the 256GB model. Anyone have any experience with a similar situation?

Edit: CS rep confirmed they no longer take the 64GB version

Where are you getting these values from? I see $600 trade in on Pixel 6 Pro

Good question - The policy reads whatever was charged to the card, so depending on how the trade-in appears on the statement it may or may not be included. Since the full amount is charged upfront and the trade-in is later refunded, I think it could go either way. Hope I don't have to use it!
I have used once on 2xl. They literally wanted the store receipt. And also amex posses L3 data so they can see line time and discounts.

According to Verizon they are giving me $700 for my old Pixel 2 XL 64GB. NO brainer lol
Over the next three years, no thanks I'm not doing that again. I'd rather take less in a lump sum and not be tied to a carrier to get the full value of my trade in.

As a long time pixel user (Pixel, Pixel3, Pixel 6 pro), I strongly advise against buying a Pixel at launch. It has always been marred with issues.

Also after using the disastrous Pixel 6 series, I strongly advise against Pixel phones.

P1 Google Pixel 3 XL has FOMO (BF), waiting and hoping for a killer deal but worried about falling TIV.
P2 Google Pixel 4A 5G just pre-ordered Pixel 7 256GB here's the thought process and numbers.

Why we chose Google instead of BestBuy
  • Pixel 4A 5G trade-in value $325 is very reasonable for an older phone.
  • Google One 10% back (requires Google One 2TB $99.99/yr however Amex offer helps but I missed out on Free Nest Hub)
  • Perceived better support as we purchased directly from Google.

$699 Pixel 7 256GB lemongrass
-4% CB
$325.00 Pixel 4A 5G trade-in
Free 2 year extended warranty [citi.com] via Citi CostCo credit card (yes Costco membership is required)
===================
$346.04 net cost

Will also receive
$100 Google store credit
$69.90 Google store credit from Google One 2TB membership
===================
$169.90 Google GC's which P1 can hopefully redeem during BF, fingers crossed.

What do you all think? Peace

What do you all plan to use the GS credit on? I don't want to pay for an overpriced cover and screen protector and don't plan to purchase another phone and have a lot of chargers. I do subscribe to One, but GS credit can only be used on hardware.

The Pixel Buds Pro are very nice true wireless noise-cancelling earbuds (also highly reviewed).
