For me this is basically free money (aka I spend way too much money at Amazon). Thanks for the heads-up.

Agreed. I buy a LOT from Amazon so this just adds to my GC balance.

I have a bunch of Amazon gift cards and promotional credit. Does Amazon allow one to use gift card credit to buy gift cards and get yet more promotional credit?

To be clear, I am thinking of using $50 Amazon gift card credit to buy $50 gubhub gift card for this promotion, does that work?

It should work. Amazon is one of the few retailers that allows you to spend their gift cards on third-party gift cards. You might even able to do this multiple times for different gift cards, if the credit is once per type of card and not per account.

I played it smart and only ordered 1 GC. Then 2 days after it was delivered I got an email saying their system was messed up and they gave me the $5 credit. I just figured everyone got that email for their cards

Get a $10 promotional credit, from October 11-12, with the purchase of $50 gift card from top brands, including but not limited to Amazon, Panera, GAP, and Fanatics. Promotional offers and options may vary, while supplies last.

$10 is main event and that's meager compared to prime day. Seeing percentage discounts on stuff is meaningless because of how often we've seen markups that erase most if not all the savings.
