I think there will be a lot of these available.

And this is just a tactic to convince a lot of people who wouldn't install a smart speaker, to buy a TV with a built-in, always listening, Alexa device instead.

Add it to your wishlist. Alexa will notify you with a yellow light 24 hours before deal goes live. Once that happens ask Alexa to buy it once it goes live. You don't have to track when it goes live.

Just don't connect the TV to internet = problem is solved.
You can connect your any streaming device or Blu-ray etc. Via hdmi

You think it will still work? It won't nag you every 2 seconds to connect?

I have an older Vizio that I disconnected and it is slow and won't let me remove or turn off the smart tv stuff. Pressing the wrong button on the remote will cost you a long wait while it tries to install or connect to the non-existent internet. Then an error…

I just want a good picture quality dumb tv, so the menus and everything will be fast. Plus dongles are usually much faster and longer updates… Plus you can buy new dongles over time…
