I think there will be a lot of these available.

And this is just a tactic to convince a lot of people who wouldn't install a smart speaker, to buy a TV with a built-in, always listening, Alexa device instead.

Add it to your wishlist. Alexa will notify you with a yellow light 24 hours before deal goes live. Once that happens ask Alexa to buy it once it goes live. You don't have to track when it goes live.

Sorry, I'm not up on the latest in TV's. I have a 10+ year old Vizio that's doing fine.

What should I know?

There's a good deal on a TLC from Target, a Hisense from I forget where and this Omni. Which should I get or not get and why.

When the last Prime Day had a 50" Fire TV $99 Lightening Deal in the middle of the night (like this one), it sold out in a little over four minutes. Of course, the past performance is no guarantee for the future results.

I don't think relying on Alexa to notify you is a good strategy for a screaming deal like this. A little delay with Alexa, and you may well miss the deal.

If you REALLY want this TV at this price, what you do is to wait on the product page (that shows the pre-deal price), and then with about seconds to go for the deal to open up (this means you need an accurate clock that shows the seconds), you refresh the page so that the deal price shows up (if it doesn't, refresh the page again). You then immediately put it in the shopping cart so that the countdown to purchase starts. Then proceed to purchase.

This type of deal does not last five minutes. Usually shorter than that. I would not rely on Alexa if I were you.
