Well if there are 5, that means 5 people will get them.

I think there will be a lot of these available.

And this is just a tactic to convince a lot of people who wouldn't install a smart speaker, to buy a TV with a built-in, always listening, Alexa device instead.

Add it to your wishlist. Alexa will notify you with a yellow light 24 hours before deal goes live. Once that happens ask Alexa to buy it once it goes live. You don't have to track when it goes live.

Couldn't someone purchase like 100 of these at 11:50pm or so, wait for everyone to jump in on the lightning sale until they're sold out, then cancel the order of 100 and rebuy one at sale price? Who wants to try? Lol
Ok, do it then.

you assume Amazon will auto-relist booked inventory at the sale price when orders are cancelled. could very well be that the inventory is locked for a certain period once an order is created, even if it's canceled soon after

Anyone know who makes this?
Rebranded insignia or whoever makes insignia, right?
CR was guessing that it might be an OEM by TCL, but they were not sure. Amazon so far has kept mum on who builds the Omni series Fire TV.

Amazon says they themselves manufacture the Omni series, but I doubt that it is a genuine ETO/MTO line. It's probably a CTO of someone's line of TVs.

The non-Omni Fire TVs have come from places like Insignia, Toshiba, and even Pioneer (yes, they actually build TV sets).

Is this regular prime checkout or does it need to be done through Alexa?

Sometimes you can plug it into a computer and it will tell you who built the panel. My Visio from like 10 years ago is an LG panel.

The panel manufacturer is not necessarily the same as who assembles or brands the particular TV, just as was the case with your Visio. The LG panel, for instance, is used by a number of TV builders/ brands. You are right, though. In some cases you can determine the manufacturer of a panel in the way you mentioned.

I'm going to bet 6am PDT -- thats when its started every other time ... but who knows ... will be sold out in probably 3-5 seconds ... figure 3000 ppl easily going for the 5-10 they normally do ... and those will go to the BOTS ....

Has anyone been able to get this to work yet? I added the item and have enabled notifications etc., but I see no notifications at all. Any advice?

Was anyone able to make Alexa actually work. I have added this in wishlist but Alexa isn't responding like it should based on the steps.
