As w/ any subjective opinions, such as wine or other things, if it's good to you, that's all that matters. As some have noted, wattage/power is relevant as far sound pressure levels relating to the efficiency of your speakers and the size of your room. If you're in an apartment/condo, no sense in trying to create theater-level sound levels. Good enough is good enough.
My rants are simply an effort to point out to anyone interested, the value proposition of recent models and where they focus, and whether the value is there for some but not for others. If it's a fit, buy it.

As I also mentioned people have been making "claims" regarding sound quality since the dawn of time, whether it's the truth for everyone is the endless debate.
Just look in here, how often people make the "claim" how good or bad something sounds never actually listening to the product themselves.
Your definition of "theater level sound levels" is another good example.
If you don't listen at 100+db's, why worry what max a receiver can handle not to mention the other things that go into that equation, some you pointed out.
That brings up my biggest issue with movie theaters, they always have it at "movie theater sound levels"!!!
IMO loud does not equal quality!
My rant is over also, thank you the civil debate(for once).

I know this is not a typical use case for most of people. Any advise how I can address the latency issue if some one happens to know the answer.
