Just a heads up, even if you are not up for renewal, you can pay in advance. So I was able to renew my plan that is renewing 1/2023, and just got the email confirmation from Amex!

I loaded $90 to the wallet and got the AMEX cashback. To load $90; just change 20 to 90 in the link.

Each of you can take advantage of the offer (total saving of $90) assuming you each have a different credit card number.
Hm so my wife has a separate card with different number, but we only have one login on the amex website. When I add the offer it says it's added to the card with my number (showing the last few digits). Does this mean my wife would have to setup a separate online account with her number and add the offer there before it would work on her card?

EDIT: It seems this is only possible if my wife had her own separate amex account, rather than being merely an additional card holder.

I see and then I assume once you loaded this into the wallet then you go and make an advance payment? I assume at that point an option shows up to pay with wallet? I don't want to accidentally load a bunch of money into the wallet just to find out that it's stuck there and can only be used up with updata or international stuff, which I *never* need.
Yes, you will have option show up to pay with wallet to your plan, but you have to have enough balance to pay your plan, if you do not have enough money in your wallet, you may need to call CSR to manually applied to your plan. And after using the wallet, the fees are actually less than you pay with credit card, so even you do not have enough offer to load to the wallet, you are still recommended to load wallet first, then pay with wallet.

I just sent you a pm. First you need to create an account and select a plan. Then you can port-in your number. Best would be to use $45 for 3 months. Then load $180 in your Mint wallet using your both the amex. Then you can change plan and enqueue annual 4gb/month plan. The annual plan will begin once your 3 months plan ends.
Thanks for the tip. If I setup a new Mint account using a prepaid card from Best Buy, will I avoid the recovery (or any other) fee?

I just did the wallet thing and paid for one year. My plan renews on Feb 2023, but the renewal date didn't change after I paid. Is this normal?

Edit: Nevermind, I think that's normal. My renewal balance is showing as negative $180 so it's showing as a $180 credit instead. Balance should go down to zero on renewal date.

My wife is an additional card holder on my account but she has her own login. We were both able to avail this offer.

My 4GB/mo plan is up for yearly renewal in a couple of weeks; is there any savings to be had from adding to my wallet (either $90x2 or $180x1) versus just setting turning auto-renew back on after changing my payment method to a previously-enrolled AMEX card?
Would like to know this as well.

Currently on a 4gb annual plan, soon to expire 11/4/22. Last paid using Paypal. Auto renew is set to OFF.

Using the web version, from the home page I see "Make Payment".

If I click "Make Payment", it takes me to the Check Out process where I can add a payment method...I select credit card = Amex....enter the CC info.

Is that all there is to it? I had already redeemed the offer through my Blue Amex.

TIA!

Does buying a phone from mintmobile trigger this $45 off? Thinking of buying Pixel 6a + 1 year plan for $389+taxes & fees.
I live in califrornia to with taxes comes to about $440 - $45 = $395.
So, the discount effectively offsets the taxes and fees.

https://www.mintmobile.com/produc...6a-bundle/

For $395 you get a Pixel 6a + 1 year 4GB plan - is this is good deal? as most of the people have reported the pixel 6a from mint mobile is unlocked.

So he has paid up to 3+12+12 months ahead = $45+$180+$180.

FWIW for Platinum cardholders, your free cell phone insurance only applies to monthly plans so it doesn't apply to Mint since you can't pay monthly. I switched to Tello which is also on the T-Mobile network and it's served me well so far, but it would've been nice for Amex to also extend their insurance to Mint considering they have this deal now too. 😕
