The reviews are scary but it might be worth trying if you are patient and understand that battery powered devices need to wake up to finish initialization.

Looking at the reviews and forum posts about it, I don't think the problem is that people don't understand or are impatient. Z-wave is supposed to support the profile, and it seems to not work on multiple gateways. Several reviews and several forum posts for consistently the same issue on a newish device, I think they messed up.

I'd stay away.

Bought one of these before to test it out, couldn't get it working. I don't remember exactly, but it got stuck in a sort of in-between phase of being interviewed and couldn't be reset. Really wish they just had a button on it instead of the "activate and deactivate the switch 10 times" dance that you have to do. And this was with a Zooz ZST10-700 stick and Z-Wave JS.
