Another option with an extra blade (saw) is the Victorinox Hiker on sale on Amazon for $21.99

Well, I guess they don't make 'em like they used to. My first Swiss Army Knife came with a saw, hammer and even a ladder. I built my first house with it. How times have changed.

My favorite low profile mini Swiss Army knife is the Manager. It has both the Phillips and the flathead, as well as a retractable pen and a toothpick/tweezer.
It's pretty thin and light but has all the features I need.
Not on sale right now

I've had different variations of that knife for 25(?)+ years. Only had to replace it when it got lost (confiscated by TSA, lost lending it out to other folks, etc.). It's the perfect EDC knife. Folks are constantly surprised on how well that little pen works. I hope this knife NEVER goes out of production.

This is a good 'better than a jack knife' set. I had two like this growing up but they've replaced the corkscrew with a PH2 which is a good switch.

The screwdriver/can opener closes really easily (why don't teenagers have as good of 'war stories,' like we did? Big Grin

Nice deals. You can never go wrong with a Victorinox. I'm really a fan of the Swiss Army knives with the Alox aluminum scales, but I hate the fact that none of those come with the toothpick and tweezer like most of the other plastic scaled models do. I know it keeps the profile thinner, but I particularly find the tweezers to be an invaluable addition to these knives.
This.

I don't need no toothpick. I carry around those dental flossers in my car. Nothing worse than getting meat stuck in your teeth while you're out.
I have never used the Victorinox toothpick in my teeth. laugh out loud

So 14 functions is the best. ?
Actually my personal go-to is the 9-function with both screwdrivers (flathead one file and Phillips on bottle opener) as it gives me the best balance of functionality while also being a great fit in a jeans 5th pocket along with a couple of house keys. Of course, I would acknowledge that some others loathe the screwdrivers (I personally make use of them both pretty regularly - flathead for electrical outlet covers and leverage, Phillips for everything else). The radical number of combinations out there means that everyone can find their ideal.

Good luck!
Jon

As someone who has like 5 or 10 swiss army knives, I rarely ever use or carry them anymore. They're great devices on one hand but for a small pocket keychain tool a leatherman squirt is so much more useful to me. As a larger item like a tinker, the lack of a locking blade makes it borderline dangerous for real work, you have to worry about it folding on your hand. Not to mention the weight and bulk of it in a pocket, you may as well carry a full size leatherman or leatherman-like plier based multitool in my opinion. These do have magnificent, sharp ,effective little scissors which the leatherman/gerbers never get right. Everyone has different use cases, just my opinion.

Must.Resist. I have about 8 Victorinox knives, including one that I've had for about four decades. Can't hurt to have another one, right? Big Grin
