Total misleading, fraudulent company, try to avoid it at any cost.

Activation is a two step process - 1) activate your SIM by getting a new number or porting in 2) applying your plan (via emailed PIN) to your line.
1) Port/Activate your SIM here: https://www.lycamobile.
2) Load your plan w/PIN after SIM activation/port here: https://www.lycamobile.
For those looking to start service with Lyca to then port-out for other carrier promotions, note that they are NOT on the list of eligible carriers for Visible's promotions:

As per this deal went online and saw this promotion, completed the order, received the order confirmation but that email doesn't have Order number, No reference number and no 8 digit PIN number and when I received the SIM card few days after my order, customer service is telling me that my SIM has zero balance and need to activate 8 digit PIN# but there's no PIN ever provided and now they are telling me to send an email with valid proof of ID otherwise they won't send me the 8 digit PIN and this is complete misleading and fraud company that they never advertises on their web site or email communication that you need to provide ID and though Order says SIM sent with "$19 Unlimited International Plan" plan when I check the account balance it says $0.

T-Mobile. I had it for a while. Service was not bad. I had some data issues, but it could be just me. Never had any issues with their international calling (which was the reason why I used their service).

Nope. This is LycaMobile's US-based plan that allows you to call internationally while physically located in the United States.

You can have you son buy a lycamobile plan in the UK, which should be a better fit for your need.

I don't know for sure but I'd assume no unless you are fine with changing your phone number. I highly doubt they will allow porting an existing Lyca Mobile number to another Lyca Mobile account.

If Vonage allows you to port out your phone number, then you should be able to port the number into Lyca
