So, little MD commentary, it does work. AS was effectively made for hangovers in the post war era, and known for such, it just wasn't OK to market it for that. It was invented in the 1930s, but blew up in the 50s with it's cartoon mascot marketing and beat around the bush way of advertising itself to blue collar workers who were hungover Monday morning but needed to get to work, targeting headache, nausea, and indigestion. Combined with caffeine and zofran, extra strength alka Seltzer is easily the best actual medicine for hangovers. My alcoholic grandfather used to drop 2 in a cup of black coffee. He was probably shitting blood by the end of his life, but it definitely worked to get him to out the door.

Personally, you could drop these in a cup of half water, half Pedialyte with a 5 hour energy and you should be good to go.

Todays health bulletin: do NOT take acetaminophen for a hangover. It's really hard on a taxed liver.

Aspirin is not bad for your liver. Mixing aspirin and alcohol is a bleeding concern in the GI tract

There is no cure for a hangover (outside of cocaine).

However if you mix your drinks and drink a lot and have important plans the next day…if you force yourself to drink a gallon of water (or as much as you can) before passing out, you are pretty much guaranteed to be hangover free the next day and won't need any medicine.

Learned this young and have verified it hundreds of times.
