I tried - many times in the past for this promotion and failed.
"American Express® reports that you do not have a Membership Rewards® account."
Absolutely insane.
Blue cash everyday card will not work because you get rewards dollars back, not points per rep at amex. However, you can use the amex everyday card. Worked for me, but I am still confused on how to get the 40% off. I tried different products, uber gift card, mattress. It won't give me the discount. Help anyone?
