Anyway, on a serious note. Some of the possible reasons to not buy this are that the color gamut is not that good at just 45% NTSC; the brightness despite being 300-nits might be low for some; FHD+ on a 16" screen isn't going to be good and you'd most likely see the pixels. The build quality isn't as good as the previous model and the trackpad isn't that good either.
But again, those are given at this price point considering it's one of the fasting chromebooks of its kind out there so the aforementioned nitpicks COULD be neglected.

One major issue is the speakers. It sounds really really bad. Almost like under powered, monospeakers tin can on a old flip phone from 2000s. I'm surprised because reviews say it has quad speakers powered by harman kardon. I'd assume they should be nice. I think this is deal breaker for me. I wonder if it's software though because when i scroll the volume settings at anything less than 50% has no volume, and at 90% or 100% it still sounds pretty weak and more like "normal" speakers at 25%. or I wonder if its because I got an open box - excellent.
anyone else chime in on how their's sounds?
update: I went to Best Buy to check out the laptop in store. I think i just received a defective one. The speakers were pretty decent in store. Hard to tell since it was wide open and noisy, but it definitely sounded louder, had bass etc. It still had 0 volume until about 50%. Not sure why, but when up to 70% it was still pretty good and sounded about 70% volume, whereas my unit sounded like it was still 15% at 70% volume. I returned my defective one and they are sending another one.
