Now this is a "premium" Chromebook that actually seems to be worth it. Is it good for drawing?

Those are the USB-C ports.

Other than that, I like what I see. I'm tempted, ngl.

This is tempting. I use my Chromebook as a thin client to remote into another machine. I went too cheap last time. How is 300 nits? My current Chromebook is about 230 nits and it's terrible.

I swore off Chromebooks because they're so limiting due to their security restrictions (which I get, but using anything outside of Google's officially approved sources is such a PITA), but this actually has a numeric keypad, page up/down, & home/end keys! Something that's actually productive! Tempting, I will admit...

Better, but not by enough, IMHO.

My open-box EXCELLENT was literally just a scratched up laptop in a cardboard box. Others posted in another thread here about similar experiences.

I was, however, lucky in that the manager exchanged the used laptop for a brand new one for the same price. At the very least, if your "excellent" laptop isn't excellent, negotiate.

Also, know what should come in the box before you arrive. They tried to say the new-in-box only had a laptop and charger in it, which wasn't true.

This is the new norm I expect that HDMI ports will go away.

You can get an adapter fairly cheap for HDMI and other ports.

I got a more expensive Acer with a 12th gen I5 and same thing no HDMI but two USB ports 4.0 Thunderbolt 4.

Not always, generally it is pretty locked down.

I would note that Chrome OS does have Linux app compatibility. It is powered by a container and is a bit like if Linux had a good UX..but with all the"joy" of a container.

It's pretty close to premium but the screen is a bit subpar at 300-nits, 45% NTSC 1920 x 1200. A premium laptop is more like 400+ nits and 2k resolution. Also I think it needs a 256GB SSD or better to be "premium", although that is fixable.

It is premium by SD standards because it is IPS which supposedly means "very good". The bigger downside than the resolution and brightness is the color range IMO. For the price the specs are surprisingly good overall.

This one also on SD is "premium" in comparison
