Was checking the Best Buy site the other day and saw this on clearance. So I checked Open Box and seen an Fair condition one closed by for $244.99. I don't think you can beat this for $244.99, Considering new MSRP was at $999.
But excellent deal if you can get one complete (Remote is $10 online, if missing). I was originally quoted missing remote. But the actual speakers were missing and I didn't notice until I unboxed at home. But the second one was CIB.

Last time I did this I got a Q70 system and it was missing the power cord. They ended up just giving me the cord from their display model 🙂

I was a best buy maybe 2 weeks ago. I see tons of open box items on the floor. Some got writings indicating, missing cable, missing tv stands, missing remote, etc.

I dont mind missing a remote or power cord, but any missing speaker is a big NO lol

Great OP got a good deal on a used/returned/open box item at BB, but as cococrisp pointed out, they almost always have a pile of stuff like this, which is also going to vary per store. So I don't know that I would rush out to your best buy expecting to find this same/exact deal as these open box items are usually returns, which obviously will differ per location. Worth checking the open box shelf whenever you're at BB, but if your looking for something in particular...at a min, I'd call before wasting a trip.

See, the first one was all horribly packaged by the store. Then it even said on the box, no remote. So I don't know how they missed the actual speakers and speakers power box. But according to Samsung, they sell the rear speakers as a kit separately too. Which that same first store had in open box. So I don't know what happened. Then In the baggy of cables, I got an optical, HDMI and the power cables. According to the actual manual, I don't think an Optical or HDMI cable comes included to begin with.

Obviously open box usually means returns. But I don't know what my store has in open box unless I'm looking for something specifically on their site and see it in OB condition. Is this deal not worth the price? If you can get a fairly complete one?

Why not? Based on the original MSRP, isn't this a good deal? If it complete? Or only missing minor stuff?

I wouldn't trust a fair condition open box. I drove 2 hours for a "excellent condition" galaxy book last week. The brought it out loose with stickers all over it and the cables in the bag... And it was a chromebook/not at all what I ordered. All I got was a refund, no gift card or substitution for my $30+ in gas and 2hr of time. From what I read if I had walked out of the store before I noticed I don't even think I would've got a refund. Bestbuys customer service sucks 😂 and this is me being an elite member and having spent close to 7k there over the past year and a half 😂🖕

When you call, you get routed to their 1800 phone support sales team who can tell you whats missing if anything. Like the remote is $10 on eBay I believe. I don't know about power cables. But HDMI/Opticals if needed are dead cheap too.
