The predecessor to this version is my all time favorite (and currently used) headset, BUT be warned of a fatal design flaw in the hinge. While this version has reinforced it, it's only done so with plastic. If you look up "Arctis pro hinge" on Google, you can find plenty of content on how they've completely fallen apart and the absurd lengths people (myself included) have gone through to fix or reinforce it. For normally 350 USD, the only hinge the product depends on shouldn't be made of plastic. If you do buy it, I recommend reinforcing it, even if it does mean ruining the beautiful outside of the product. It'll save you in the long run.

I'll continue to rock my 1st generation ones until they give, but I wanted to warn you guys. It's an AMAZING head set, it's just absolute bummer of a product issue I'd rather you folks not face later on.

That being said, for 250, that's a great price.

Yup - this one works on Xbox, PC, Switch and PlayStation 4/5.

For those that own the Arctis Pro Wireless, here's the comparison - https://www.rtings.com/headphones...shold=0.10

IMO it's not worth upgrading from the Arctis Pro. Otherwise it's a nice headset overall.

Does this work with both PS5 and Xbox Series X? I thought there was a specific model for each console.
More importantly does it work with STADIA, everyone should switch to STADIA and forget those consoles. 🙃

Juat bought the nova 7p. Is this a significant upgrade over those? Should i return and get these?
No, just keep the nova 7p, i had both, its not really a big upgrade. The DAC is pretty gimmicky. 7p is way more comfortable

I had a special offer on my Amazon Store Card too. The standard 5% back as a statement credit and then a bonus 5% in rewards on the amount paid. That's what pushed me to order from Amazon instead of Best Buy, which appears to come with a carrying bag and a backup battery too.

I bought it When it first came out and paid the retail price + tax and I returned it like the next day. I had the Arctis 7P+ at that time and this Arctis Nova definitely sound better no question about it because it has a better sound driver. With $100 cut, it is a better deal but $250 is still a lot .

keep in mind that if you use the 2.4 ghz true wireless and if your 2.4 ghz wireless signals are congested, you will get static and sound will be choppy and this makes the arctis nova no different than any other 2.4 ghz wireless headsets. I decided to return it because i felt that the price and value didn't make sense. My suggestion is that when it comes to gaming headsets, you have to buy several of them, test them out, and pick the one u feel you r satisfied with the price and value you get. At the end of the day, it is just a "plastic"headset, it has to be plastic to make it light, so nothing premium.

Btw, you can fix the interference issue by changing the channel of the 2.4 ghz band. You just need an app to scan the congestion of the 2.4 ghz band and pick the less congested channel.

Wireless is convenient. Having tested many true wireless headsets, id rather use a usb c or usb a wired headset and that for sure will not have any disconnect, interference, battery, etc issues while I can still have real digital sound.

I had Arctis Pro Wireless for about 2 years, there are good and bad about this, but I probably am not going to get another one.

The pros are the interchangeable battery, DAC that allows you to hook up other input / output, retractable microphone, and it's wireless with a mute button.

The cons are that under wireless mode it will either shutoff itself if there's no mic input after some time, or it never shuts off. this is particularly annoying. I don't understand why it can't just shut off after sometime when nothing is playing. Also, it takes about 3-5 seconds to power on the headset, this is also annoying. I wish there's a switch button that can instantly power on the headset. Lastly, the retractable microphone broke after 2 years of use, it doesn't feel like a very reliable product, especially with such a pricy item.

Is the PS5/PC version on deal as well? Cant find it... i read quite a few reviews stating that there is a difference in sound quality if you get the PS5 version.

Edit: nvm found the PS5 version and sadly its not on sale. Pass for me then.

From what I have read/watched, the only difference between the PS version, the xbox version, and the standard version, is that the xbox version has the Microsoft required security chip on one of the USB-C inputs (which is therefore marked "xbox"), but everything else is the same (DAC, drivers, etc.) so there should be no difference in sound quality. This XBox version is compatible with every console/PC, where as the other versions are not compatible with XBox SeX or SeS which requires that chip. Based on that, even if you are PS or mostly PS player, it still makes sense to get the XBox version.

I figure this is worth a shot, it sounds like a headset that has a lot of good features that I will usee/appreciate, worst case if it sucks I return it.

Thanks OP. Was waiting for Black Friday to come around to pick this up. Since they just announced Prime day 2.0 few weeks ago I was keeping an eye out. I like the swapping out the battery option. The Razer wireless headset I had recently stopped working / charging. I had it only less than 2 years. Can't wait to test out the new headset.

$250 should be regular price, $200 should be sale price.

This headset came out relatively recently. If they're already chopping $100 off, that means they're not making sales.
if you can check the price history of the previous version, you will find you are wrong. The lowest price the previous version went was $270 at staples. Then NEVER ANY discount anymore!
